At LaTerra Gems, we’ve started a series of posts outlining and understanding the chakras. Last time we looked at the Root Chakra and understanding how it affects energies. Today we are continuing that series and understanding the Sacral Chakra to work to bring balance to all of our chakras.
Where Is the Sacral Chakra?
The Sacral Chakra is the second chakra, counting upwards from the root chakra. This Sacral Chakra is located below the navel, in the pelvic region, and it is associated with emotions of desire, passion, connection, pleasure, and intimacy. Being located in the lower abdomen, the Sacral Chakra is symbolic of all that is carnal and native to your natural desires and instincts.
What Are Some Characteristics of the Sacral Chakra?
When you think of the region where the Sacral Chakra is located, you think of profound and intuitive characteristics. The characteristics associated with the Sacral Chakra are those that connect with your feelings and emotions. Additionally, the Sacral Chakra is associated with pleasures: joy, sensuality, creativity, and passions. The Sacral Chakra is an incredible chakra when balanced and open, and it can open the pathways of creativity in your life. When you feel a “gut” feeling, it can be your Sacral Chakra pushing you cx towards a decision that you instinctively know the answer to, and because of that, it is important to keep your Sacral Chakras balanced.
What Can Happen When the Sacral Chakra Is Imbalanced?
Part of understanding the Sacral Chakra understands when it is imbalanced. An imbalanced Sacral Chakra can be caused by stress, illness, negative emotions, and conflict. These issues can cause a blockage where energy can no longer pass through your body and cause a disruption of energy that will destabilize all of your energy.
In addition to imbalanced chakras, there are also instances where your chakras are understimulated and under-activated. This means that your chakras are not distributing the energy through your body the way it should be. When this happens, you need to work to open up your chakras and let the energy flow.
How To Open the Sacral Chakra?
How exactly do you open your Sacral Chakra when you experience a blockage? There are a few ways that you can activate and open your chakras through meditation, reiki, and the use of healing crystals. The healing crystals associated with the Sacral Chakra is Carnelian. Carnelian is an orange healing crystal that is often used to enhance creativity and to promote motivation. It often works on jewelry as a talesman to help boost your natural energies and balance the Sacral Chakra.
